A position paper is essentially an argumentative essay that presents a counter-point to a certain debate presented by a different specialist. You may also want to use a book as a guide for writing your paper, particularly if you’re unsure about what you are referring to or unsure about the point you’re trying to make. The idea is to look at the publication, and use that to guide you through your paper. You then need to look at what is in the book, and what you have written. And make sure the information is pertinent to the principal subject you’re writing about.
The main purpose of writing a position paper is to produce your professor conscious of your point of view, and your arguments. It is important to get the professor’s attention by writing in this manner that he/she is able to see the advantages of what you’re saying.writing.
